In 2012, the 9th “Chain” Festival took place between January 25 and February 4, three months after the 8th “Chain” in October. This accelerated event organization cycle was imposed by the desire to tie the festival with the date of Witold Lutosławski’s birth. The 9th “Chain” was inaugurated on January 25, exactly on the 99th anniversary of the festival’s patron.
Between October 23 and 26, 2011, the 8th Witold Lutosławski “Chain” Festival was celebrated in Warsaw. The festival comprised four concerts, which included the Overture for Strings, Livre pour orchestre, and Mi-Parti, as well as works by Bacewicz, Palester, Mayer, Spisak, and others.

Five concerts made up the program of the 4th “Chain” Festival, which took place between June 20 and 24, 2007, in Warsaw.
The program of the 3rd “Chain” Festival was filled by three chamber concerts and one orchestral concert scheduled between June 20 and 27, 2006.
The second “Chain” Festival took place between June 20 and 30, 2005.
The first “Chain” Festival took place on May 15 and 15, 2004, as a monograph series of works by Witold Lutosławski at the Centre of Contemporary Art at the Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. Conceived by the vice-president of the society, Andrzej Bauer, the two-day festival comprised 15 short, about one-hour meetings with the public, including chamber concerts, a concert of piano music, two concerts of the orchestra AUKSO under the direction of Marek Moś, a concert of children’s songs and a ‘children for children’ concert, as well as film screenings and meetings for reminiscences.
